Plot: Kurupt FM, innit. The rest is irrelevant. After Brentford’s largest pirate radio station has ended, the boys from Kurupt FM find their way to Japan on an epic adventure in search of fortune and fame.

Story: People Just Do Nothing: Big in Japan starts when Kurupt FM closed down. MC Grindah (Mustafa), DJ Beats (Chegwin), Steves (Stamp) and Decoy (Woolford) have gone on to make their own livings. However, Chabuddy G (Chaudhry) has got an opportunity for a revival in Japan.

Once they arrive in Japan, they look to embrace the culture, while trying to understand why they have been recruited. This sees them dealing with tension within the group and eventually, they needing to understand what the radio was all about.

Verdict on People Just Do Nothing: Big in Japan

People Just Do Nothing: Big in Japan is a comedy following a once-famous set of DJs. Well, they were famous in their local area and have grown a cult following. Now, they get a chance to relive some of that fame in Japan, where their cult following has reached new levels.

This is a spin-off of the television show, that had a following. We get to bring them back together for another chance at success. However, not everything is as it seems as they must learn the price of fame and friendships. This gets to have the deeper message about how life can come to bring people together, while something can have people take notice of you but doesn’t mean that much in the end if you’re not together.
