On the Road Again...

What an early wake up call this morning! 4:40am legit. Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is my final destination. We are opening a new club here in January 2013, so right now we are set up temporarily in the mall where the club is being built getting new members started in advance. Part of the our job as the club opening team is to help create the culture of GoodLife, which of course is to have fun, work hard and motivate and encourage Canadians to live their own version of a fit and healthy good life.
What do I do for 5 and a half hours on a flight?
1st hour: catch up on emails
2nd hour: sleep
3rd hour: watched Live with Kelly and Michael (it was ok)
4th hour: completed my expenses/putzed around on my tablet
Then I had a short layover in Calgary. By short, I mean I literally got off of one plane, filled up my water and ran to board my next flight!
For my flight from Calgary to Sasky I was able to get some reading done. I am working on completing my Can Fit Pro personal training certification, so it was nice to be able to catch up on some reading!
I flew into Calgary, then into Saskatoon and then drove about 90 minutes to Prince Albert. Matt from my team was already here, so we were able to connect and he introduced me to the rest of the team. It always impresses me how no matter where we are opening a new location, we are able to find great associates to represent GoodLife. The team here is awesome!
As for the city of PA...well its pretty much what I expected. A lot of really friendly people and it is already cold enough for mittens. Oh and the giant wheat statue that I drove by (and of course stopped to take a picture of)...Celiacs beware!
On the Road Again...Because we have such a large space for pre selling memberships, we were able to actually bring in a line of equipment, so members and staff can actually do quick workouts. I know! Construction is underway...sort of. Don't worry, we don't open until January! Here are a few pics so you know what I am talking about:
On the Road Again...As for my workout, ya you bet I did a workout!
I did GoodLife's signature workout which is called the Fit Fix, which is a quick, full body workout using nine machines. You start with your largest muscle groups and then work to your smallest (biceps and triceps). You do one set of 8-12 reps on each machine, then move quickly to the next one. Done in about 20 minutes. Throw in some cardio and baby you've got a workout.  So that's what we did before we went for dinner. Oh and of course I introduced the team to Wicked Wallies!! If they think I am crazy, they didn't let on...I am so pumped that I was able to squeeze in a workout because I typically don't workout on travel days.

One final thought, I am so excited that I had seven...yes 7 link ups on my blog yesterday for #TWIW (This Week in Workouts). How flippin' awesome is that? I know it is going to get bigger and better every week. If you are reading this you MUST link up too.
