Story: Nessie starts when a small Scottish village gets left $50 Million by an American Billionaire. The village was one of his favorite places, as he used to visit in search of the Loch Ness Monster. However, his son, Brad (Kilpatrick) isn’t happy and wants to contest the money.

Brad sends people to the village to learn if the villagers have conned his father. However, the people sent start to learn more about the villagers and how close they are to looking after each other.

Verdict on Nessie

Nessie is a family comedy following a small Scottish village that inherits $50 Million from a billionaire. They see it as a chance to redevelop the village and solve most of their problems. However, they get challenged by the son of the billionaire who doesn’t want to give up the money.

This is an enjoyable family film, one that is full of a big heart. Sure, we have seen the basic concept before, but the way it unfolds the community feeling is always enjoyable to watch. When you see a community that feels like one we have seen in ‘Fisherman’s Friends’ movies, you instantly know you want to visit their adventure. While this also dives into one of the bigger mysteries of the world, the Loch Ness Monster. We get a wonderful cast too, that all come together and feel like one of the most natural communities on camera.

Where to Watch

Nessie is showing at The Gateway Theatre in Seaton, Devon on Feb 3rd 2024.

Final Thoughts Nessie is an enjoyable family adventure, with a wonderful cast of characters.
