The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on May 5, 2019. The application process for the same ended on December 7, 2018. NTA opened the correction window for NEET 2019 Application Form for all the applicants on January 14, 2019. Candidates will be able to make changes and rectify their application online. The window will be accessible until January 31, 2019.
How to Access the NEET 2019 Correction Window?
The NEET 2019 correction window is available on the official website of NEET. Here are the steps to follow to edit NEET 2019 application form.
- Visit the official website - https://ntaneet.nic.in
- Go to NEET 2019 Login and enter credentials.
- Go to 'Correction in NEET Application Form 2019' tab.
- Modify or rectify the required details.
- Check and preview all the details and submit.
- Enter the OTP received by your mobile number.
- Take the print of the confirmation slip.
NEET 2019 Application Correction Important Information
NTA will allow only registered candidates to modify or rectify their application forms. Only candidates who have corrected their applications within the stipulated window will be able to appear for the examination. Candidates who are not allowed to edit their application are
- Candidates who have submitted incomplete applications.
- Candidates who have not paid their application fees.
- Candidates who have submitted their application forms after the mentioned deadline.
Here are a few things you have to keep in mind while modifying your application form.
- Candidate's name, Parent's names, DOB, ID no. should match the ID proof presented during the NEET 2019 examination.
- Correct any discrepancy related to Photograph or Signature that have been mentioned in the mail sent by NTA.
- After final submission of the application form candidates should keep the following documents for further reference -
- Fee Payment Slip
- Print out of the confirmation page of NEET 2019 application form.
- Self-declaration form for candidates from Jammu and Kashmir.

About NEET 2019
NEET is the all India entrance examination for candidates willing to take admission in MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses in various institutes in the country. Until 2019, NEET was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). From this year onwards, NTA will be the conducting authority of the exam. The results will be published on June 5, 2019. This year there are 66,771 MBBS seats and 27,148 BDS seats that have been declared by the government, private and deemed institutes across the country. More than 15 lakhs candidates have applied for the examination. Candidates who are willing to study medicine courses outside India will require qualifying NEET 2019.
NEET 2019 will be held offline, but the application process has been conducted online. The admit card for NEET 2019 will be released on April 15, 2019. The duration of the NEET is 3 hours. The test will be held in one shift in the afternoon (2.00 PM to 5 PM) in different test centers in various cities of India. There will be 180 objective type questions.
NTA has introduced several changes for NEET 2019. The conducting body has provided the candidates with the opportunity to attempt Mock Tests at centers set up in various cities in India. Candidates were also provided free coaching. There are video lectures by IIT experts on all the topics from the NEET 2019 syllabus available on the official website of NTA. Candidates can access all of them free of cost. NTA has also declared that AADHAR will no longer be mandatory for NEET 2019 registration.
In spite of all the above changes, the syllabus of NEET 2019 has been kept unchanged. The test will comprise of three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology and Botany). The syllabus is mostly in sync with the NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th standard. The level of competition in NEET is quite stiff as the number of applicants keeps increasing each year. In 2018, the cut off for General candidates was as high as 50 percentile.
