When people ask me how I would define the beauty of solitude, I always show them the photo below.
I took it a few years ago, when visiting an abandoned farm on the outskirts of Winnipeg. The experience was surreal.
The photo is my favorite of that day. It is the kind of shots I had dreamed of taking for years. I opted for black and white to add drama and mood to the scene.
