One of the few things I shop regularly is workout clothes. Firstly because I workout 5 times a week so clothes end up getting the most wears out of everything in my closet. Secondly, they are a great motivation to go workout. This is one of the most requested posts, since I take a daily post-workout selfie on Insta-Stories (for personal accountability and to motivate my readers).

Below are some of my go to pieces for workout gear:

Sports Bra

Sports bra is probably the most important piece of clothing while working out. If you girls aren't secured, you ain't gonna get a good workout. Lately I have my doing more high intensity workouts so I have invested in medium impact sports bras. One of my favorite for this is New Balance & Adidas. I have used other brands in the past but these two have stood the test of time. On the other hand, while going for a hike or a yoga class I go for a low impact bra which is easier to break and stretch in like: this.

Tops

Previously I used to wear a lot of tanks but over the last couple of years I have transitioned into breathable non-body hugging cotton muscle tees. I like a wide arm hole (like this) and a fabric which is light in weight and does not have static in winters and does not stick to me in summers. It is truly a personal choice. However, while doing yoga or similar classes which I might be doing down dog and other postures, I might go for a more fitted top just for functionality (like this).

Bottoms

The fundamental is same as the tops breathable fabric but of course the bottoms are usually most fitted. I have a hard time finding something which is cute and comfortable at the same time. A lot of time I stick with darker colors and simpler prints just so I can easily mix and match my tops. I do like to be coordinated in my workout gear. [What can I say, I like to look cute in all clothings ;)] Athleta and adidas are my go to brands for bottoms at the moment. Previously I did shop Nike & Under Armor but getting the right fit and fabric with them has been a struggle for me lately.

Shoes

Last but not the least - shoooess! While I have stopped splurging on shoes (heels, and such) in general I do purchase a pair of sneakers every other month. Again, I workout 6 days a week and I like/try to be color-coordinated in my look and shoes make a big difference. [I know, that's a poor excuse for my indulgence, so sue me! :D] Again, sticking with my go to brand - adidas - as of now all my workout sneakers are from adidas. They fit me well, come in many colors, are light weight and have not let me down yet.

So there you have it. These are my go to brands for workout gear. I hope you found the post helpful. If I missed something or you have any other specific question, feel free to as in the comments below.
