Miles Teller Wants You To Know He’s ‘Misrepresented’ As An Asshole
When the name Miles Teller gets tossed into a conversation, that must be one tired as fuck conversation. But it’s usually met with a “Who?” or “Ugh…THAT asshole” in response. Miles would like to address the latter.
Back in 2015, Miles came off as a real douche during various interviews including one with GQ. He talked about what a big dick he has by likening it to a high ball glass (mmhmm), made the reporter cut a piece of pork despite showing off his oh-so-strong muscles, said that he’s a lot hotter than the public gives him credit for and called Joaquin Phoenix “Joaq.”
Everyone had a field day with Miles being a giant dick, and he tried to walked it back by saying that he was “misrepresented” in his GQ interview and doesn’t think there’s anything cool about being an asshole.
Miles is back this year with the movie Thank You For Your Service, where he plays a soldier with PTSD. The New York Daily News caught him at a screening of the movie and asked about that interview and how the reporter called him a dick…Miles still doesn’t see it:
“But yeah I felt misrepresentation. That’s always tough but that’s this business. I rarely read an interview that I do where I felt like … I’m reading these things and I’m like, ‘That doesn’t sound like me’ and I don’t go outside my body when I do an interview. But they’ve been manipulated, that’s just kind of the nature of the business.’”
Miles called for all of his interviews to be released in full and on film “so that it couldn’t be manipulated.” Seeing Miles pose on the cover of GQ looking like a 7th grader in his first strappy undershirt post-gym glass was bad enough…I sure as shit wouldn’t want to watch him in motion and in technicolor. And I don’t take his recent defense as a full-fledged recant. He probably meant to say “That doesn’t sound like me…if I had to use a piece of glassware to show off my dick size, I would certainly have grabbed a water pitcher and not a high ball.”
