Maui - Haleakala at Day Break

after the sun came up we stuck around and took a few shots and enjoyed the views of Halekala crater

the crater is 7.5 miles long, 2.5 miles wide and about 3000 feet

it looks like mars to me

these might look familiar to those that have seen shows like contact many countries have telescopes up here.
