You could sort of understand this reaction if this whole mess had gone down after seasons one and two of House of Cards. That was hot television. But every season since then has gone down in quality and it really isn’t worth flipping out. I kid! (That’s never ok.)

Actor Anthony Rapp (you may know him better as horny best friend Daryl from Adventures In Babysitting) recently went public with his claim that Kevin Spacey forced himself on him when he was 14 and Kevin was 26. This opened the floodgates as it appears that Kevin is as good at forcing himself on men as he is at acting. Kevin’s career is in the shitter, and Netflix announced that House of Cards would end after its upcoming sixth season. Six seasons is a pretty good run for a show but try telling that to an angry Frank Underwood fan. Anthony has been putting up screenshots of some of the wackier harassment he’s been receiving online from fans who blame him for ruining Kevin Spacey’s life. Judging by the stories that have come out, it sounds like Kevin Spacey has been working hard on ruining Kevin Spacey’s life.

NewNowNext reports on Anthony’s realization that people are a mess, especially when they’re more concerned about their favorite TV show as opposed to outing sexual predators.

Here are some comments on Instagram. I’ve decided I want to share some of them because these people need to be outed for their harassment. pic.twitter.com/Dxf9Ab5Mmc

Kudos to that one guy for the particularly damning “cause your career its a big shit!” line. In addition to blaming him for the HOC cast and crew eventually being put out of their jobs, he’s also being blamed for ruining poor Kevin Spacey’s life.

Anthony was also told that he was slutty little hustler who knew exactly what he was doing when all this occurred. At 14.

Someone who obviously works as a rape counselor helpfully defined what “sexual assault” actually means for Anthony.

Even other supposed sexual assault survivors expressed their displeasure with Anthony’s story. How totally supportive.

So, to sum up all of this genius –

1) Sexual assault should be overlooked if the perpetrator is drunk.
2) Something horrible that happened thirty years ago should have no bearing on your life today.
3) Kevin Spacey is an innocent flower in the meadow that you’ve trampled with your big victim jackboots.
4) Being talented with a successful career means that you should get a pass for acting like a handsy perv.
5) Opening up about a very traumatic incident in your life in order to make sure it doesn’t happen to others is just wanting attention.

There, did I cover everything? Another question, do any of you know anything about enacting some sort of intelligence/sanity requirement for users of social media?
