Verdict on Holistay

Holistay is a horror movie following two couples that find themselves double-booking a vacation home. They start by just putting it behind them and enjoying their vacation, strange things start happening round the home. It leads to them questioning what is really going on, unprepared for the truth.

This is a slow moving movie, the meeting of the couples and spending time together is the normal awkward then get on style. With this nice build between the couples, it takes far too long for the horror elements of the movie to happen. The lack of urgency after a few odd events also is concerning. This leads to the disappointing final product, that lacks enough horror to satisfy a horror fan. There is way too much time put on meeting the characters that is plain everyday conversations.

Final Thoughts Holistay is a horror that takes too long to reach the scares.
