Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Holidays

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving; and I also hope that your runs and workouts make you feel a bit better about all the food you ate!

:)
I have been reflecting lately on what is important, as well as what I am thankful for. We don’t have a lot, so what we do have is very precious to us.   I am obviously very thankful that I can run and workout everyday; since I have some issues with my health, this is a very good thing. I cherish every run and every moment I spend taking care of myself. I’m also trying to maximize my workouts and prepare for more races in 2012. I just checked out a wonderful book, 5K and 10K Training by Brian Clarke; very much looking forward to learning about how to race better and more effectively.
:)
I am also very thankful for my husband, who is a great sideline spouse. He’s also real handy to have around; he made me breakfast today after my run and it was very good.   Twitter pals are also something I am very thankful for because we all motivate and encourage each other. And if you’re injured or have a big race coming up, you can count on them to be there for you.
:)
So I am very glad I have met them all and they do mean a lot to me.   Family is obviously very important to me; they were there for me when I was not feeling well Thanksgiving morning, and I am very grateful for that. I just hope they know that…:)   There’s a lot to be thankful for this holiday season and I count my blessings everyday, and every time I hit the ground running.
:D
Take time to reflect this season and it will hopefully bring a smile to your face.   A strong positive mental attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug.
