Plot: A mother helps her daughter work through four crucial days of recovery from substance abuse.

Story: Four Good Days starts when Molly (Kunis) turns up at her mother Deb’s (Close) door. She is high off her face on drugs wanting help once again. Deb is reluctant to help after the previous failed attempts and agrees to take her to a rehab center. To be eligible for the program she must go four days clean.

Deb agrees to take her in, as Molly looks to go through the daily withdrawal nightmares. This brings the pair closer together than as this could bring back the broken relationship and Molly back on the right path.

Verdict on Four Good Days

Four Good Days is a powerful drama about dealing with addiction. It follows a mother giving her daughter another chance for support after countless failed attempts in the past. This shows that trust can become broken and needs to be rebuilt.

There is plenty of difficult moments in this movie. Deb the mother has been through so much and is showing the side effects of what happened. It shows that family could be one of the best medicines to solve the problems being dealt with and that support could be the best cure. This isn’t going to be an easy watch for anyone showing how a family has been torn apart because of what happened.

Glenn Close is amazing as the mother giving one of the best performances of her career. Mila Kunis also gives one of her best career performances in this movie.

Final Thoughts Four Good Days is a powerful movie highlighting the support needed through addiction.
