Verdict on Five Nights at Freddy’s

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a horror mystery based on the popular video game of the same name. Here, we follow a new night security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s who gets to meet the remaining guests. However, he starts to learn more about them, leading to a series of spooky events.

As someone who has never played the games, I didn’t think there was much of a story involved in the games in the first place. This is a story about the security guard created which shows them in the light of someone who has struggled with a childhood incident. It does a good job showing the balance in his new and old life. However, we came here for the animatronics, right? The design of the animatronics is wonderful, they look and move like the game. There are scary moments which entertain in a horror sense. However, the story struggles to connect the two worlds and ends up feeling like something we saw last year. For a horror, we can enjoy the movie but Willy’s Wonderland is much crazier to enjoy.

Final ThoughtsFive Nights at Freddy’s is an entertaining horror with excellent animatronic creations.
