Plot: In the aftermath of a tragedy at a summer camp, a group of camp counsellors find themselves fighting for their lives against a masked killer.

Story: Final Summer starts in the aftermath of a tragedy at a summer camp. Sheriff Parmer (Mathews) is leading the investigation as the survivors look back at what happened. This takes us back to meet Georgia (Amacher), Mike (Bauer), Mario (Valentine), Lexi (Kohn) and Peter (Taber) the final group of counsellors.
What follows is the group coming under attack from a masked killer. They must work together to figure out how to escape its wrath, as the campers must survive till morning before they can be rescued.
Verdict on Final Summer
Final Summer is a horror slasher thriller following a group of camp counsellors dealing with a serial killer. They must escape the killer’s grasp as they try to figure out who is behind the mask. However, the race against time sees the bodies piling up.
This is a slasher that does everything we have come to know from the camp group-attacked movies. It has the masked killed, the creepy atmosphere and the back story behind a potential killer. However, when it comes to getting to know the group, things fall short of expectations and we end up dealing with more of the aftermath, rather than the event. This tends to suck some of the life out of the story, leaving us not as invested in the characters we are following. In the end, this lacks the fun style that slasher movies are most known for.
