Story: Fatman starts when spoilt rich kid Billy (Hurstfield) loses the science fair contest. He uses his family connection Skinny Man (Goggins) to send a message. Meanwhile, Chris (Gibson) has been struggling with government red tape about the latest Christmas round.

As Chris sees the world’s children becoming naughtier, he sends Billy coal. This enrages Billy who sends the Skinny Man to hunt down Chris and send a message, leading to a bloody battle between the two sides.

Verdict on Fatman

Fatman is an action comedy which sees a vengeful child hire an assassin to kill Santa. It sees the assassin going on a journey in search of an answer for Chris Cringle while Chris is dealing with his own problems with government enforcement.

This looks to bring a new action-packed idea to a Christmas movie, one that is big. One that looks outside the box, while trying to bring realism behind the Santa Claus invention.

Walton Goggins is fun as the villain of the movie. He is ruthless, which is the most entertaining of the whole cast to watch. Mel Gibson is fun as a grumpy Santa that does everything he needs to. This does end up being fun enough, despite not being as crazy as it could be.

Final Thoughts Fatman is a simple darker Christmas action movie.
