From the looks of it, Kannan Iyer’s “Ek Thi Daayan” looks spooky, but we have to wait and see if it will succeed in scaring the bejesus out of us. With an ensemble cast featuring Emraan Hashmi, whom I’ve begun to admire after his work in “Shanghai”, Kalki Koechlin, Konkona Sen Sharma and Huma Qureshi.
The story is about a witch and a magician and the mystery is that there are three possible ‘Daayans’ in the film, which will begin its promotions in two days. All I hope is that this film doesn’t end up presenting a clichéd run-of-the-mill type horror story.
