Verdict on Cowboys

Cowboys follows a father who wants to do what is best for his trans son after his mother refuses to accept the decision. Exploring the relationship breakdown between the couple, as the difference of opinions grows.

This will bring us a bigger discussion while highlighting the difficulties shown between parents about a child’s choice. It also highlights how difficult it would be to come out knowing things might not be the same. The film does jump between the times, which can show how Troy supports everything.

Steve Zahn is brilliant in the leading role, showing the emotional range through everything going on. Sasha Knight is brilliant as the youngest member of the cast, taking on the sensitive character.

Where to Watch: Cowboys is available to stream on Sky and to purchase on most major platforms.

Final ThoughtsCowboys tackles a sensitive subject in a wonderful way.
