Big B Launches The Hindi Trailer Of Rajinikanth’s ‘Kochadaiiyaan’

Amitabh Bachchan with RajinikanthIt was a sight to see. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan popularly known as Big B launched the Hindi trailer of Tamil megastar and close friend Rajinikanth’s much awaited film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ on 30th of March (Sunday) at a suburban multiplex.

Kochadaiiyaan is a 3D film with motion capture technology also known as performance capturing technology, a first of this kind being produced in India.

The project is directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin and produced by Sunil Lulla and Sunanda Murali Manohar. It is scripted by K. S. Ravikumar and music is given by A. R. Rahman.

The film stars Rajinikanth in a triple role, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Aadhi, R. Sarathkumar, Nassar, Jackie Shroff and Nagesh.

The director of the film Soundarya is extremely happy that her father’s close friend Amitabh Bachchan unveiled the Hindi trailer of the film.

“It is difficult to find words and put it together, but I would like to say that a woman has directed it. Soundarya has done a commendable job and proved that women in India are capable of doing their best,” Amitabh Bachchan told reporters during the launch at a multiplex.

“Rajnikanth and I are very close to each other. We are like family …  we have worked together in many films and he has been very humble. When we get time off screen, we discuss life and cinema,” he said.

Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kajol, Anupam Kher, Shekar Kapur, R. Balaji, Ramesh Sippy, Subhash Ghai, R. Balki and others were present at the trailer launch.

Praising Soundarya’s work, Shekar Kapur said: “This film is going to be game changer and your father should be very proud of you today.”

The leading actress of the film Deepika Padukone couldn’t make it to the event.
