Verdict on August at Twenty-Two

August at Twenty-Two is a drama following a struggling actress navigating the big city. She has friends and connections but finds herself drawn to a new love interest as she looks to discover herself.

This is a movie following young adult life in the big city while chasing dreams. It is filled with conversations from everyday parties, without reaching into the type of conversation you just want to listen to. This doesn’t help the film because it drags everything down without giving us anything to enjoy along the way. When it comes to the bigger story, it tends to be pushed to the back of the events of the movie. This leaves us feeling flat and uninspired about everything that is unfolding.

Final ThoughtsAugust at Twenty-Two is a flat life drama movie.
