Thoughts on Take Back

ThoughtsTake Back is an action movie that will give Michael Jai White, the quieter role in a martial arts movie to let his wife Gillian White taking center stage. This will borrow the ideas of A History of Violence, where doing the right thing will expose a secret, put the whole new family in danger. The story doesn’t need to get much deeper than that even if it does want to try and offer a twist or two along the way. Where the story does fall is by not telling us who use the girls, something simple like, passers-by, the higher ups in local city, just who, this could have made a bigger impact in the story. The action does come off clunky at times, with most of the fight scenes having too many cuts, while most seem like they are just the trained moves, over the natural fights.

Final Thoughts Take Back is a true late-night action movie, lacking intensity, but an easy watch.
