What’s your dream job and why? Is it because you’re passionate about it or because you know that you’ll get good money out of it?

When you were a kid, you probably dreamed about becoming an astronaut or a ballerina. What about me? When I was a little kid, I wanted to be a doctor so I could take care or heal my parents and my loved ones when they’re sick, but as I aged up, it changed. There were times when I wanted to be a nurse, a fashion designer, interior designer, flight attendant, celebrity, and many more.

In high school, I was so undecided and didn’t really know what to take. Every mid of school year, we had to meet with an advisor to let her know what we wanted to become in the future, so they could tailor your classes based on what you want to become. Since I was so undecided at that time, I would always say that I wanted to become a nurse. Thinking about it now, I don’t want to be a nurse because I hate seeing people sick or dying. Yes, I like watching horror and gory movies, but I never wanted to see people bloody (I’m not hemophobic).

When I entered university, I was pretty sure that I wanted to become a dental hygienist but after taking Chemistry in uni, I just gave up. Chem in high school was already struggle for me, what more in university?! So, I decided to just take Psychology instead, since I liked the Psych courses that I have taken.

So, what’s my final answer?

To be honest, I don’t have any. Is it weird that I don’t have a dream job at the moment? I just recently graduated from uni last October and I’m still taking up some courses for my HR Management certificate. Maybe in the future, I might pursue to become a CHRP, but at the moment, I just want to get my certificate done and work in HR field. Maybe once I start working in the HR field, my dream job would probably be to become the person with the highest position there is in that department.

What about you? What’s yours?
