Hello everyone!

As part of Influenster, I was one of the lucky ones to receive this voxbox containing the L’Oreal Root Cover Up.

So basically, this is a temporary concealer for your roots if you color your hair, especially to those with gray hair. Price point is around $10 (although it varies where you are) and is available in 6 different shades (ranging from light to medium blonde to black), so you’ll probably find your perfect match if you ever decide to try this out. This product is ammonia and peroxide-free.

Since I don’t have gray hair and my hair is pretty much just black, I tried this on my mom. Good thing the package came in before my mom coloured her hair. As you can see from the image above, my mom has a lot of gray hair so it was the perfect timing.

The color that I chose was Dark Brown. So you have to shake it before you use it and then when you remove the cap, it has a nozzle (about a half inch to an inch, maybe) and then you spray it 4-6 inches away from the area you want to cover up.

In my opinion, this product is like a hairspray because it makes the hair stiff and gives it volume. What my mom liked about it was that, it didn’t transfer to her sheets, didn’t stained her scalp nor irritated it, and it also stayed longer than just one wash.

Just a note, the “after” photo was still fresh so you could see it a bit wet and the color still on the scalp, but once it dried, it looked very natural.

Overall, I think that this is a good product that is great to use in between colouring the hair , although it’s an extra to what you already use or do with your hair.

What are your thoughts on this product? Let me know!
