A Month of FavoritesToday’s topic for “A Month of Favorites” is our top ten favorite book covers of 2014. “A Month of Favorites” is being run by Girlxoxo, Traveling with T and Estella’s Revenge. Check out Traveling with T for today’s link-up.

Here are my favorite covers of books I read in 2014 with links to my reviews.

Newton by Peter Ackroyd
A fun bit of a visual joke.

Dark Destiny by M.J. Putney
Atmospheric and romantic.

Cress by Marissa Meyer
Not quite as dramatic of a cover as Cinder, the first in the series, but pretty and suggestive of the underlying Rapunzel story.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce
Another cover with some gentle visual humor.

The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd
I took a photo from about this angle when I was in London.

The Occasional Diamond Thief by J. A. McLachlan
I helped pick and design this cover — of course, I like it!

Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger
Dramatic, Victorian, and dangerous.

London Under by Peter Ackroyd
Clever.

Kitty Steals the Show
I was so happy to see the tower with Big Ben on the cover of the latest Kitty book — so much fun to revisit London with her just a couple of weeks after I got home.

The Clockwork Universe by Edward Dolnick
I just love the old-fashioned styling of this cover.
