ZTE Malaysia has officially launched its global devices website and all customers around the world will be able to visit this website for product supports or just want to browse through the list of smartphones and features phones available in their country. A few months ago I was at lost as I was not able to get more information about my ZTE Acqua V880E  and ZTE Blade  smartphones from their corporate site - ZTE Corporation, making me to think at that point that ZTE is not customer friendly, but the new website launch proved me wrong.

The front page of the website is just stunning, you will be shown with interchanging pictures of ZTE’s latest products – The ZTE Grand ERA V985, the Grand X and the Grad X LTE, all of which feature quad-core processors. When you click on the mobile phone link, you will be offered to two options – Smartphones and Feature Phones. On the Smartphone section, a total of 22 devices will be shown on the screen, starting from the high-end ZTE Grand S to the entry level smartphone ZTE V857.

The top end of ZTE’s smartphone featured in the website is the ZTE Grand S. It sports a 5.0-inch multi touch captive, Gorilla Glass screen offering 1920X1080 resolutions, 16.7M color. It is also packed with 13MP camera with flash plus 2M FF (1080P video). It supports LTE network and is powered by Qualcomm APQ8064+9215M CPU clocked at 1.7GHz. Memory wise, the ZTE Grand S is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB EMMC, while the interfaces consist of a5-pin Micro USB, 3.5mm Earphone Port and a 2FF SIM slot. Other features include Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, mobile hotspot, WIFI Direct, DLNA, wifi display connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 LE Sensors Compass, Gyro, GPS with AGPS, Dual MIC noise reduction and MHL.

Unfortunately, none was mentioned about the price in the website, not even the lower-end of the smartphone line. In the support link, you may click on your country and select the type and product that you are looking for. There are only 11 devices listed for the Malaysian devices:

When I clicked on the download link for ZTE Blade, sadly there is no update software available at that instant, I was instead faced with the message ” The product appearance shown on this website is only for reference; for detailed product information such as functions and specifications please refer to product user manual; Contents shown on the website such as pictures and functions are subject to change without prior notice.”

I strongly think that ZTE is still improving the website and I hope in the future users will be able to download software updates for their ZTE devices. For more information on ZTE’s new devices please visit ZTE official global webpage here.
