Thoughts on Zeros and Ones
Thoughts – Zeros and Ones is an action thriller that is using the religion tensions between different religions to show the build up to an unthinkable attack, through the eyes of one man caught in the middle of an attack. Ethan Hawke does take dual roles in this film, with his all-American hero being one, while he trapped brother getting forced into actions in another, even though it can come off confusing, as to which one we are following at times. Zeros and Ones does come off as one of the thrillers that will come off more confusing than anything, that ends up needing an extra explanation at the end, trying to explain everything we have seen. Much like Abel Ferrara’s last movie Siberia, we get an idea that is looking to do something edgy, and creative that doesn’t seem to connect on the way it would imagine it would.
Signature Entertainment presents Zeros and Ones on Digital Platforms 7th March & DVD 4th April.
Final Thoughts – Zeros and Ones is an ambitious movie that fails to deliver.
