Zero Context: Game of Thrones Podcast - Episode 1

It's time for episode 1 of Zero Context: Game of Thrones, a podcast where a Game of Thrones expert and a newbie come together to watch the final season of Game of Thrones and talk about their thoughts, feelings and concerns as the season progresses.

Zero Context: Game of Thrones Podcast – Episode 1

In this episode, we discuss episode 1 of the final season of Game of Thrones, and our feelings about reunions, naval battles and Bran spending the whole episode waiting for Jaime in the courtyard. Jake rants about the death of Stannis Baratheon and I rant about recessive genes in the Game of Thrones world.

Additionally, I talk about all the spoilers I came across before I watched episode 1, including my confusion about all the memes about Cersei and elephants. I discuss my pros and cons for the show and why I think I want to keep watching, which at this point is mostly just Sansa and the dragons. Jake also shares his favourite fan theories that he's come across, which for this episode involves a face-swapping murder of Cersei later in the season.

Because this is the first proper episode, it's longer than subsequent episodes will be, so we hope you guys don't find that too daunting. Next episode, we will of course be discussing episode 2 of the final season, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for the arrival of that later this week!
