During the special operation ‘Yukthiya’ conducted by the Sri Lanka Police and its Special Task Force (STF) in 24 hours, the following quantities of narcotics were seized.
The narcotics that were seized had 303g 384mg of heroin, 141g 750mg of crystal methamphetamine (‘Ice’), 10kg 565g of cannabis , 660,573 cannabis plants, 542g of ‘Mawa’, 29g of ‘Thul’ and 234 narcotic pills.
A total of 863 suspects have been arrested during the operation, of which 24 suspects are being further investigated based on detention orders.
