YSL, Rodarte Influenced by a Grand Master

Vincent Van Gogh was a complex man. A black sheep of his family, he never felt truly a part of the "Van Gogh" name. If he could come to present day, he would insist that others refer to him as Vincent, not Van Gogh. Much Like Monet, Vincent had a wonderful, beautiful way of seeing the world around him. Unlike Monet, he was a bit crazy.
Crazy may be too strong of a word: he was misunderstood. A victim of his own interests. Vincent hadn't always wanted to be an artist; in fact, he originally saw himself as a man of God, called to be an evangelist, missionary, and Bible worker. His zeal was so strong that he actually was discharged from the monastery he submitted himself. His other-worldly dedication was too much for them.

Can you imagine if Van Gogh had been a fashion designer? I wonder what sort of magical garments he would have produced. I can easily see him skipping past menswear, and designing only for women. Couture only. The husbands of the women he would have designed for would easily become jealous - for Vincent would easily (and quickly!) have developed obsessions for the women who wore his clothing. His death would probably be by murder of an enraged husband.
Today, Vincent and his paintings still influences high profile designers.
