YouTube gets into the craze video in short form. In a blog post, the new format of the Google-owned video platform is called Shorts. A rival for TikTok and Instagram Reels in the Chinese app is the new feature.
Designed to serve as a new short video on YouTube, Shorts are limited to a maximum of 15 seconds per clip for creators and artists that want to shoot brief videos with their phones. TikTok allows videos of 60 seconds, while the Reels of Instagram may be maxed at 15 seconds.
Music can be added, as with TikTok or Reels, with YouTube providing tools for editing multiple video clips in conjunction, speed controls, time and countdow options for hands-Free recordings.
As with TikTok, you move into a new one by swipeing vertically from one short video.
It will be available in Android in India in “next days,” with Chris Jaffe in the blog post saying that the company will “continue to expand to iOS devices and in other countries soon.” The new format is now available in Android.
YouTube’s news is as Oracle has confirming that after a pressure from the administration of Trump, the Chinese company ByteDance will become the technology partner for TikTok in the United States to locate a U.S. home.
