YouTube has introduced a new indicator that will be displayed if the channel lives on the platform. When the channel is direct streaming, viewers will now see the ring with the word “directly” on it around the channel profile image. Users can only tap the profile picture to join live broadcasts. This feature aims to facilitate users to find if streaming channels directly when browsing. This feature announced by the YouTube Product Head Neal Mohan has announced on Twitter.

If you haven’t noticed it, this new YouTube feature looks very similar to the tiktok that shows a pulsed ring around the channel profile image when the channel is on the platform. On Instagram, you can see if the channel lives with colorful rings that appear around the account profile image.

Previously, Youtube had introduced vertical rolling news feedback for short form video content called shorts. This feature also resembles Tiktok News bait that introduces it first.

Recently, YouTube has shared a road map for 2022 where it announced that it would introduce a collaborative streaming feature, which would allow the creator to live together and make a more interactive flow for their audience. “The ability to” live together “Hopefully open the flow for more casual conversations and interactions with other creators, making it easier and more fun to air,” Mohan wrote in a blog post.

One of the main highlights of this roadmap includes its investment in NFTS. The company also said that it plans to make a more profound listening using metaphevers. “The first area where you can hope to see impact is the game, where we will work to bring more interaction to the game and make them feel more alive,” added Youtube executives.
