Erumu, the outgoing youth central executive of Ekpan Development Committee was lashed in public for raping a young girl at Ekpan, Uvwie LGA of Delta State.
Stephen Akemu a.k.a Hon. Astone, the Community President affirmed the incident saying his actions has automatically removed him from aspiring for the upcoming election. Stephen suggested that the suspect should be flogged to serve as a warning to others.
The member of Committee, Franklin Ochuko Akemu in a statement cautioned that such heinous acts will be dealt with in the community.
He wrote;
"Ekpan commun ity has pass the level of ignoring wrong act and it was displayed again today when erumu was caught in the act of raping a helpless girl,"
