Your Pregnancy and Kid's Allergies

Your pregnancy and kid's allergies
It look like there's a connection between what you eat while you're pregnant and whether your kids develop certain allergies. I am not sure if I had any walnut oil or flaxseed while I was pregnant and stayed away from fish because of the mercury. So, I basically gave my kids allergies. Humph!
FROM NBC: There's evidence a pregnant woman's diet may influence her child's risk for developing allergies. Using piglets -- researchers in France determined that gut immune cells in offspring developed differently when the mother was given a certain group of poly-unsaturated fatty acids found in fish, walnut oil and flaxseed. The supplemental diet caused the newborns' guts to become more permeable possibly boosting their production of antibodies. The polyunsaturated fatty acids are called PUFAs.
