Your Guide To Planning A Stylish Wedding

By G J @myfavesjournal

It’s that special time in your life where you prepare to say I do in front of all your family and friends. But, before you get to that point there is a lot of planning to take care of. Your wedding will be one of the most beautiful days of your life, filled with joy, romance and love, but only if everything is prepared correctly. Otherwise, it can turn into a panic, and you certainly don’t want that. But not to worry, just follow this guide and we will walk you through all the boxes you need to tick when planning a wedding.

Find The Perfect Venue
Once, you have been proposed to, after you start telling everyone, your first job will be to find the right venue for your wedding. You will have to decide whether you want to get married somewhere traditional or if a gorgeous hotel will do. You may even consider getting married outside, on a beautiful beach somewhere. As long as you live in a good climate, why not? You will have to think about what you need your venue to be based on how many guests you are going to have and whether you will hold the reception there as well. Also, be on the lookout for the perfect spot for wedding photographs that you will treasure for the rest of your life.

Set The Date
As soon as you choose the venue, you will decide on the perfect date for your wedding. There are not any tips we can give on getting the date you want, except to book early. Both winter and summer weddings are incredibly popular so you should be aiming to book these at least a year in advance. On average a person will spend approximately two years planning their wedding. But, it can be a low as six months. It just depends on how much spare time you have to plan.

Once you have the date, you will, of course, be writing the invitations. You can hand make these quite easily and make them look stylish with ribbons or bows. Once you start to get responses, you should lay out a table plan. Table plans for weddings should be professionally designed. That way it will be clear, and there will be no confusion on your special day as to where people should be. Confusion on the day is the last thing you want.

Hire A Stylist
If you have ever attended a wedding, you will know that the bride almost always looks like a model, straight off the cover of vogue. But, what you probably don’t realize is that this is the work of a professional designer, it doesn’t happen overnight. It happens in the morning and can take roughly two to four hours. So, if you want to look your best choose your stylist carefully and make sure they can give you the exact look you want.

Finally, you’ll need to think of the little details like hiring the photographer, and, of course, finding your dream dress. Once you have done this, all you need to do is look forward to the day you will walk down the aisle towards the one you will spend the rest of your life with.
