Your essential guide for choosing flowers for her

When you send her flowers, you want to make sure that you make the right choice. It's not only about the type of flowers but also the colour, the size of the bouquet, and how it is presented. It will depend on the way they are presented.

For a new relationship, you want to keep things simple and not too romantic. You don't want to scare her off. In this case, you should look for pink flowers like gerbera daisies, roses, and perhaps a mixed bouquet of pink blooms. Have your florist wrap these flowers in some decorative paper so that they don't come across as too elaborate.

For an established relationship, you might want to step it up. You can still send pink flowers or you can send a red bouquet. A bunch of red roses is quite the declaration of love which makes it perfect if you have already reached the "I love you" point of your relationship. You can have the florist arrange the bouquet in a vase or, if you know that they already have a vase, then you can simply have them wrapped in decorative paper with a bow.

If you are married, you should know what her favourite flowers are as well as her favourite colour. Choose a bunch of flowers according to her preferences and feel free to ask for a medium or large bouquet if it's a special occasion.

When celebrating your wedding anniversary, you may also like to do some research regarding the traditional flower associated with each year of marriage. You can then ask your florist if they will be able to make a bouquet that consists of or includes this flower. If the flower you need is not available, find out what colour is associated with your anniversary and ask for a bouquet in this colour. Even if you don't find flowers in this particular colour (like gold) you can have them create a modest arrangement of white flowers and have gold accessories added in between.
