We had so much fun photographing Kieran & Leanne’s engagement shoot a few weeks ago. We always tell couples that the best shoots are the ones where you choose something that is special to you as a couple – and focus on that. So I was thrilled when Kieran and Leanne invited us over to their very first house together to look through their old memory boxes. Their gorgeous little cottage is nestled in the hills in Bingley and is the perfect starter house – full of coziness and character. I loved the exposed beams and I have to say they purchased the most awesome antler chandelier (I had a bit of chandelier envy – I’m not gonna lie). We photographed as they went through their memory boxes which chronicled their years together as a couple. It was so fantastic to see what they saved – from concert tickets to airline tickets to little scraps of paper and notes. And let us not forget the greeting cards. Leanne is a greeting card aficionado and Kieran has made a few *ahem* mistakes in selection throughout the years. When we were done going down memory lane – we popped out to have a stroll on the actual lane next to their house. We caught some gorgeous low winter light – I am crossing my fingers we get light this good on the big day.
