The ambiguity over the Telengana declaration has taken its toll on Telugu cinema and the biggest causality at the moment seems to be Megapower Star Ram Charan. His film Yevadu was slated to release on July 31 and even the censor works too has been completed but because of this Telangana issue the makers had no choice but to postpone the film. Yevadu will now release on August 21, the makers have officially announced it at a press meet.
What this has done is now it has created a ripple effect and postponed another Charan movie Znajeer (Thoofan in Telugu) which was slated to release on September 6, according to sources. As the gap would be very less between the two Charan films’s the makers of Zanjeer have apparently decided to postpone their film by another two weeks which means Zanjeer will now arrive on September 20 giving a comfortable four weeks gap between the two Charan starrers. An official confirmation regarding Zanjeer is awaited though.
