What torture DID do was to make us LESS SAFE, and less moral as a nation. Those Republican 'value party' conservatives knew it. They did what they always do when the facts are not their friends ----- they LIED. We cannot trust the right. They are dishonest, they are consistently on the wrong side of history, they are consistently just wrong. Wrong militarily, wrong economically, wrong on domestic policy, wrong on civil rights.
History condemns them, while they try to offer feeble excuses for their actions and double down on their failed fascist ideology to justify culture wars and foreign military wars.
