Yesterday it was 84 degrees in Dallas. 84! While this is no where near how hot it will be come July/August; I cannot believe that we are approaching ‘that time’ of year. It’s so crazy to think that just a couple months ago, I was wearing cozy sweaters and now I am starting to wear summer dresses!

I found this yellow summer dress a few weeks ago while helping my youngest sister shop for a dress. It’s crazy but she has 16 weddings this year, so she is always shopping for a pretty dress that she can add to her collection and wear to at least 3 of the weddings! Since I am also currently in the market for dresses (especially ones that are flowly); I decided to tag along on one of her shopping trips.

After we found a couple of really beautiful dresses that will work for a handful of weddings she has coming up, we then started looking for dresses that would work with my baby bump! Now, I know I have said this before but shopping for dresses/clothing that will work for a DAILY growing baby bump can be tricky. Garments that are loose, have some flow and NO ZIPPERS are your best friend.

After quite a bit of trial and error, I finally tried on this yellow summer dress and instantly fell in love. As someone has more broad shoulders, the halter neckline was very flattering and the drop waist worked perfectly with my baby bump. Plus, the yellow color of this pretty summer dress made it an instant yes.

Finding pretty dresses (like this yellow summer dress) that I can wear now and post baby have made me feel so comfortable throughout the duration of my pregnancy. While I can totally see the light at the end of the tunnel (6 weeks 5 days to go); I have really loved the challenge of finding pretty pieces (like this yellow summer dress) to wear with my growing baby bump!
