As the new year began, Yamaha started updating the bike. The Japanese two-wheeler giant will soon launch new models of its two popular motorcycles, the FZ S and FZ X in India. The screens were removed from both the bikes at a dealer event before going public. Their new features are known from pictures leaked online.
Yamaha FZ S and FZ X get hybrid technology
The updated models of Yamaha FZ S and FZ X will be the first to feature hybrid technology. Which was included in the Fascino 125 and Ray ZR 125 scooters a few years back. It's actually a hybrid system that has a Smart Motor Generator (SMG), which charges the battery and works with the engine for quick pickup.
The advantage of this Yamaha technology is silent engine starting and idling engine start-stop function. It also plays a special role in energy efficiency. Both the FZ S and FX will get a new TFT screen. Whereas LCD display is available in the current model. In addition to showing important information, the new screen will offer Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
Yamaha FZ S will be launched in six new color options. On the other hand, the FZ X will come in four new colors. Let us inform you that the price of the Yamaha FZ S model starts from Rs 1,30,700 lakh. And the FZ X is priced at Rs 1,40,500 (ex-showroom). Estimates, the price of the updated version may go up to Rs 5,000.
