Xiaomi has announced the date of yet another budget smartphone launch in India. The company is going to launch the Redmi 5 smartphone on 14th February. The phone was recently launched in China along with Redmi 5 Plus.
While it is not very clear with the invite if the Redmi 5 Plus will be launched in India or not, however going by the number of variants Xiaomi launches, we can say that they may launch 2GB RAM/16GB, 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage, and the 4GB RAM/ 32GB in India.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Price and Availability in India
The Redmi 5 price is CNY 799 (approx Rs. 7,800 or US $ 120)for 2GB RAM+16GB storage variant while the price of Redmi 5 3GB+32GB variant is CNY 899 (approx Rs. 8,800 or US $ 135).
The Redmi 5 Plus price is CNY 999 (approx Rs. 9,800 or US $ 151) for 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant while the price of Redmi 5 Plus 4GB+64GB variant is CNY 1299 (approx Rs. 12,800 or US $ 195).
The Redmi 5 Price in India is yet unknown, however, given the fact that it will replace the Redmi 4 Series we can expect the pricing to be very competitive. The availability of Redmi 5 in India can be expected from the second half of February.
