Xiaomi Redmi 5 Specs
While both the phones look exactly the same, the 5 Plus comes with a slightly larger display. Both the phones come with a slim-bezel display and a metal unibody design. The fingerprint sensor located at the back and unlike speculated earlier, the Redmi 5 will not come with dual rear cameras.
While the company has not yet revealed Redmi 5 specifications, all we know at the moment is that the phone will have immersive display and premium specs at a budget offering. The phone may come with a 5.7-inch Full-HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and may have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 process under the hood.
Reports suggest that the Redmi 5 will come with a 3200 mAh battery along with a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Like the Note 4, we may see a 4GB/64GB variant along with a 3GB/32GB standard variant. There are rumors of a 2GB/16 GB variant as well.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Specs
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is the beefier version of the Redmi 5 and will have narrower bezels than the former. It will have a 5.9-inch Full HD+ (1080×2160) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus may be powered by a Snapdragon 625 or 630 processor and will have same 4GB/64GB and 3GB/32GB storage variants.
The Redmi 5 Plus is expected to house a beefier battery i.e. 4000 mAh and the same set of cameras as on the Note 5.
Redmi 5 and 5 Plus Pricing
Xiaomi hasn’t revealed anything as yet regarding the Redmi 5 Pricing, however, we are sure that it will be priced very aggressively seeing the success Xiaomi had with the Redmi 4 devices.
We really expect that the Redmi Note 5 India release will happen soon after the global launch as the Note 4 has seen a permanent price drop and is almost a year old device. While we will get to know about the Redmi 5 India release date in 7th December, we will have to wait for the pricing till the India launch.
