Xiaomi has sent out invites for its upcoming launch of Mi Max 2 in India. The new smartphone is set to launch on 18th July in New Delhi. Mi Max 2, which is a successor to the Mi Max which was launched in India in June 2016, was unveiled in China earlier in May at a price tag of CNY 1,699 for 32GB variant and CNY 1999 for the 128 GB variant.
Mi Max 2 Specifications
Mi Max 2 is a phablet and features a massive 6.44-inch FullHD display (Resolution 1920*1080 pixel) which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4GB RAM.

The Mi Max 2 has two variants in terms of storage i.e. 64GB and a 128GB variant. We are not sure if Xiaomi will launch both the variants in India. In terms of battery, the Mi Max 2 gets a bigger battery of 5300 mAh, which Xiaomi claims can last up to two days and also comes with Quick Charge 3.0 that charges up the battery up to 68 percent in just one hour.
The phone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and houses a 12-megapixel rear camera with PDAF support and dual-LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front facing camera which is similar to its predecessor and a metal unibody casing with a fingerprint sensor located on the back.
Mi Max 2 Price in India
While the price of Mi Max 2in India will be announced on the launch day itself i.e. 18th July, it is speculated that the phone will come at almost the same price as the Mi Max. Last year Xiaomi had priced the Mi Max in India at Rs. 14,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB variant and Rs. 19,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 128GB model.
