Xiaomi A1 was launched in September last year in India and just after 7 months of its launch the phone has been discontinued. This further confirms that Xiaomi A2 is on the way. The Xiaomi 5X was rebranded as Mi A1 but came with Android One instead of MIUI.
Latest reports suggest that the supplies of Xiaomi A1 have been halted. These reports were confirmed by partners in and around Indian Capital, New Delhi. It is also said that the last billing was done a couple of months back.
The phone is also out of stock on Xiaomi’s official Mi store. While there is no update about the stock, users can still register to get an update on stock availability.
Incidentally, Xiaomi is also launching Mi 6x in China on 25th April. While the Mi 6x will run on MIUI, the same phone may be rebranded as Mi A2 in India. Since Mi 6x is arriving in China ahead of its schedule, we can expect Mi A2 to be launched soon in India.
