Alongside WrestleMania, SummerSlam is the largest wrestling event of the COVID-19 era to date. Now, five months after producing shows in coronavirus conditions, WWE is doing something different. So far, the shows have taken place in the Performance Center. Instead, SummerSlam is broadcast on the ThunderDome. WWE moves into Orlando, Florida's Amway Center, transforming it into an arena with thousands of virtual fans.
The ThunderDome has warmed up on SmackDown but is getting its first big show on SummerSlam.

The show also has one big main event: Drew McIntyre defends his WWE Championship against Randy Orton. Since McIntyre won gold at WrestleMania, he hasn't had any really credible opponents. (No disrespect to Dolph Ziggler.) Orton, riding a career high from his feud with Edge, is the threat McIntyre needs.
Hopefully that will be better than you in a match Swamp fight according to extreme rulesBraun Strowman will also defend his Universal Championship against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.
Elsewhere, Asuka will face Sasha Banks in two different games for the Raw Women's Championship and the SmackDown Women's Championship, which she will face against Bayley. It doesn't really make sense why Asuka is competing for titles at both brands, but I'll never complain about seeing more Asuka on my TV.
