After the track dropped before the release of Drake’s Nothing Was The Same, Drake gained a lot of respect and recognition from the WuTang clan, even promising fans a remix with the crew. But what ever happened to the remix? Today we find out after a year and some months of silence.

“I guess we kind of came too hard for him. He wanted us to talk about broads, but at that time, we wasn’t in a broad mode,” said U-God to MTV News. “We had to write it real fast. No lie, I probably had about six hours to write this thing. At the time, I wasn’t feeling woman-y—I was feeling hard as nails. So, I wrote him a hard as nail rhyme, and he was talking about something totally different, so the subject matter didn’t really mesh.”

Although the remix will probably never be released to the public Ghostface assures that there are no hard feelings against Drake’s judgment and decision to not put out the record.

“I like Drake, though,” said Ghostface. “I like him because he’s pays homage. But at the end of the day, he knows how to rhyme. He’s not weak.”
