Venus Williams’ Home Was Burglarized During U.S. Open

Venus Williams is the latest victim of a series of celebrity break-ins. This time, the burglars hit the tennis superstar’s Florida home, according to reports.
Palm Gardens police released the police report of the incident on Thursday, which occurred somewhere between Sept. 1 and 5th–which is while Williams was away in New York for the U.S. Open. It wasn’t a lucky day for Venus who made it all the way to the semi-finals, then was sent home to find her home had been burglarized. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The police report redacted the exact items that were stolen, but reports say the thieves made out with upwards of $400,000 worth of items. According to TMZ, the thieves stole 16 designer purses, which is what cost almost half a million dollars. It was also reported that Venus is missing nearly 200 photos and some jewelry from the incident.
Poor Venus isn’t having the best streak of luck these days while her sister is out her living her best life. Hopefully she’ll be able to catch a break soon.
