Writing Challenge 67

It’s summer! What better time for catching up on some reading and writing?

Whether indoors or outdoors, it’s sometimes a challenge to think up what to write. Why not spend some time by the water, enjoy a drink or two, and delve into your latest story or chapter. Perhaps this image might motivate you.

Consider the setting. Is your character on a deck, dock, or pier? Is he or she at a beach by the lake or ocean? Is your character alone? What kind of drink is it? What might the mood of the character(s) be? An image like the one below can raise many questions about its substance, its very being. A story or chapter can be spun by the speculation and what ifs. View the image, and let your imagination (and your pen or keyboard) take you on a journey…
