Writing Challenge 32

By Brian Abbott

Here’s the second of this month’s two writing challenges.

The Poisoned Martini features monthly images to spark your creativity.  Such images, because of their visual nature, vividly speak to writers and spark ideas for writing.  The idea is to view the image below and to write a scene, a short story, a chapter, a novella, or maybe even a novel.

Earlier this month, a trio of images evoked a scene of the Vegas Strip.  Were you daring enough to write a tale of what happens in Vegas?  The photos, taken in 2014, were from three vantages points.  The first was from a hotel room in the Cosmopolitan overlooking the Bellagio casino’s mega-fountain.  The second was from a walkway over the strip with a view of the Flamingo casino’s iconic entrance; Caesar’s Palace can be seen off to the left.  And finally, the last view is also from a walkway further down the Strip with a view of the Paris casino.  View the images here.

Continuing a theme of summer vacations, consider another well-traveled-to location…
