Floral wreath-laying ceremonies were held at the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery, the Patriotic Martyrs’ Ceremony and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs’ Cemetery in Pyongyang on February 7 (Wednesday). Attending the ceremonies were Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] Vice Chairman for Propaganda and Agitation Pak Kwang Ho [Pak Kwang-ho], WPK Vice Chairman for Cadres’ Affairs Kim Phyong Hae [Kim P’yo’ng-hae], WPK Vice Chairman for Munitions Industry Thae Jong Su [T’ae Cho’ng-su], WPK Vice Chairman for Economic Affairs O Su Yong [O Su-yo’ng], WPK Vice Chairman for Light Industry An Jong Su [An Cho’ng-su], State Planning Commission Chairman and DPRK Vice Premier Ro Tu Chol [Ro Tu-ch’o’l], Minister of People’s Security Gen. Choe Pu Il [Ch’oe Pu-il], Senior Deputy Director of the WPK Organization Guidance Department Ri Man Gon [Ri Man-ko’n], Pyongyang WPK City Committee Chairman Kim Su Gil [Kim Su-kil], Minister of State Security Jong Kyong Thaek [Cho’ng Kyo’ng-t’aek], Second Economy Commission Chairman [Second Economic Committee] No Kwang Chol [No Kwang-ch’o’l], WPK Finance and Accounting Department Director Ri Yong Su [Ri Yo’ng-su], WPK Munitions Department Deputy Director Hong Sung Mu [Hong Su’ng-mu], senior officials of the WPK Central Committee, the Korean People’s Army [KPA], internal security organizations, the DPRK Cabinet, Workers’ and Social Organizations and Pyongyangites.
Ceremony participants placed floral bouquets before the memorial bust to Kim Jong Suk [Kim Cho’ng-suk] at the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery and “observed a moment’s silence in memory of her.” Placed on the wreath-laying stands at the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery and the Patriotic Martyrs’ Cemetery was a floral presentation sent jointly by the WPK Central Committee, the State Affairs Commission, the Supreme People’s Assembly Presidium and the DPRK Cabinet and placed on the stand at the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs’ Cemetery was a floral presentation from the WPK Central Committee, the WPK Central Military Commission and the State Affairs Commission. Wreaths from the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces, the Ministry of People’s Security, workers’ orgs, DPRK Cabinet Ministries and Commissions, KPA and Korean People’s Internal Security Forces units, arts, education, public health and media institutions, industrial and agricultural production units, et cetera, were placed in the cemeteries.
Ceremony participants “observed a moment’s silence in memory of the martyrs” who then walked around the cemeteries.
