In case you missed it, this fall it’s all about coats. Big coats, checked coats, masculine coats, pastel coats.. I like it when trends involve pieces I actually need this winter (because let’s be honest, who’s going to wear Wang’s mules this november in minus 5 degrees?), and coats are the kinds of pieces that can make or break an outfit so it’s perfect for the uninspired rainy fall days to come (because they’re coming, I promise) in which I do not want to think further than jeans and a knit – but throw over a really cool coat and you’re done. Perfect for me. So meet the first big coat of my coat season, and not a bad one to start with. A camel coat is pretty much a needed wardrobe staple if you ask me but it’s the same as with for instance jeans or leather jacket. They’re the kind of basics you need in your wardrobe but it’s even better when they’re 2.0, like have interesting details or shapes. I love that this coat has short sleeves. It’s unexpected and actually doesn’t even matter when it’s fall because it’s not that cold anyway. And then there’s the details in the front, all of which make this the camel coat 2.0 if you ask me. Not much more needed, in this case just all gray. Oh, and doing a little happy dance because it’s weeeeekeeeend! (and because you guys always tell me to smile more) Happy weekend lovelies.
